O Lord veGkaTa ramaNa of tirupati! O Supreme Lord! O Lord who is praised by this tyAgarAja who has, qucikly, adhered to Your path!
Won’t You uncover the inner screen called envy which drives away the four-fold human pursuit beginning with righteous actions to emancipation?
It is as if (1) to satiate hunger, the fish plunging in the hands of death (by biting the bait); (2) a screen obstructing the clear, lighted, holy presence of the Lord and imprisoning Him; (3) while one is eating food nicely, a fly is found in the food; (4) when immersed in the meditation of Lord hari, the mind wandering about in the streets of low people; (5) herds animals falling into a snare without knowing it to be one.

Word-by-Word Meaning

P O Lord veGkaTa ramaNa of tirupati ! Won’t You (rAdA) uncover (tIyaga) the inner (lOni) screen (tera) called (anu) envy (matsaramu) (matsaramanu)?

it is (unnadi) as if (aTTu) a screen (marugu) obstructing (aDDabaDi) the clear (accamaina) lighted (dIpa) holy presence (sannidhi) of the Lord and imprisoning (ceracina) (ceracinaTTunnadi) Him;
therefore, O Lord veGkaTa ramaNa of tirupati ! won’t You uncover my inner screen called envy?

C3 O Lord! It is (unnadi) as if (rItini) (rItiyunnadi) the herds (gaNamulu) animals (mRga) falling (vacci tagulu) into a snare (vAguramu) without knowing (teliyaga) it to be one (ani) (vAguramani);
O Lord who is praised (nuta) by this tyAgarAja who has, quickly (vEgamE), adhered to (anusariJina) Your (nI) path (matamu) (literally opinion) matamunanusariJcina)!

English
Victory to Lord Guruguha, who is adored by all Gods beginning with Vishnu. Oh Mind, constantly contemplate on the fact that you are the Cidanandanatha.

He is the originator of different diversified forms of worlds. He manifests as five elements, the named and formed ones. He is the mighty sun, destroying the darkness of ignorance, is the bestower of spiritual knowledge, and is the Maheshvara. He is the divine Kalpaka Vriksha for the afflicted ones, he who bears the sacred river like Mandakini, he who is adept at granting happiness to the heart of His devotees. May my Guru bless me.

He is the substratum of this illusory world. He who is to be invoked through the mantra beginning with Ka and ending with Ma, he who resides in the center of the Malini Chakra, he who is meditated upon as the swan representing the Ajapa Mantra, he who is an expert at obliterating the result of Maya the illusion, he resides in my heart, which is like the thousand-petalled lotus. He who enjoys the nectar of mellifluous music, he provides shelter and boons to Madhava and others. He whose Brahmasvarupa is veiled by Maya, he whose beauty exceeds that of crores of Cupids, he who shines as the light atop the tower of the heart of devotees, he who vanquished the proud Shura and others, his place of abode is worshiped by kings of Mayamalava Gaula Desha et al. He who shines as surrounded by Vishnu and other gods, he has expounded the real truth of Pranava to His father Mahesha.

Meaning:
P: Why are you reclining (lying down) my lord, Ranganatha!(of Srirangam)

A: You are resting (in the island) between the two rivers (branches of the river KAvEri) which originated from the pool, in the mountain, which is full of water lilies. (Ambal= water lily). Why?

C1: Is it because you obeyed the order of the sage KOsikan (Viswamitra) (to protect his yagnA from the demons)?
Is it because you killed the demoness tATakai by striking her at her abdomen with your arrow?
Is it because you broke the bow of lord Shiva (to win Sita's hand)?
Is it because you subdued Parasuraman's (another incarnation of vishnu--prior to Rama) arrogance?
Is it due to your long tiresome walk with chaste Sita (the daughter of Janaka, mitilEsan, the king of the city mitila)?
Is it due to the arduous task of crossing the Ganga in the boat of blemishless Guhan?
Is it due to your long stay in the CitrakUTa mountain range?
Is it due to your tiresome chase of mArIcan (uncle of Ravana) (who took the form of the golden deer) all over the place?
Did you get tired after chasing him?
Is it because you got tired looking for your dear wife all over?
Is it due to piercing the seven trees with a single arrow (this refers to Rama's proving his valor to Sugreevan by sending an arrow through seven trees straight)?
Is it due to bridging the ocean (to cross into Lanka)?
Is it because you were sorry to have demolished the fortress of Lanka?
Is it due to your fatigue (or regret) from having destroyed Ravana and his gang?

C3: I have sought your refuge in this earth.
Please give me shelter by accepting my surrender, Oh gold-adorned Ranganatha! (arangam= Srirangam; perumAL= vishnu).
You delivered Ahalaya from her curse by stepping over the stone (to which she was cursed by her sage-husband Gautama after her illicit encounter with Indra).
You also protected KAkAsuran ( a demon). (This is an episode about which I am vaguely familiar but not competent to comment)
When Draupadi (in Mahabharatham) was humiliated, by getting subjected to disrobing in the assembly hall at Hastinapuram, you protected her by letting her garment grow beyond bounds (a reference to Krishna).
You also protected the elephant by killing the crocodile when the latter was dragging the elephant into the water by grabbing its leg.

Just like protecting all the above, please shower your grace on me, cure my misery, and give me boons. Please get up and protect me with your consort Mahalakshmi!
